ITINERARY: 5-Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

DAY 1 :FES - IFRANE - CEDAR FOREST - AZROU - MIDELT - ZIZ VALLEY - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT.

Our 5-Day Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with a pick-up from your Fes accommodation and a scenic drive across the middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco because of its immaculate natural surroundings and rosy view of our country. After that, we continue to the cedar forest of Azrou and stop for a quick encounter with the wild macaques. In addition, we also visit Midelt, known as the “Apple Capital,” where we may have a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, we go through the breathtaking Ziz Valley vista via the Tizi N Talghemt tunnel. We would have the opportunity to snap photographs of the spectacular landscape and palm tree groves. The following day, we recommend an early wake-up for an unbelieveable sunrise. We meet at the camp, then we begin our magic desert tour. Furthermore, we drive to a nomadic family, drink a cup of tea with them, and learn about their lifestyle. Moreover, we move forward to an abandoned village, where locals used to get Galena metal. Next, our journey takes us to Khamlia village, where we join the Gnaoua performance and learn about culture. Later, we spend a few minutes in the Merzouga’s garden, where we see the oldest irrigation system that people still use nowadays. Finally, we drive to our riad to relax and do more activities if needed.

DAY 3 :MERZOUGA DESERT - RISSANI - ERFOUD - TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY.

On the third day, we would wander through various remarkable attractions along the road to Dades Valley. After breakfast, we travel through Rissani. We stroll around a traditional market that holds on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We move forward to Erfoud; there, we see a fascinating workshop where locals make fossils. The road takes us through Eljorf and Tinjdad. We then arrive in Todra Gorges, a stunning place for hiking and climbing. It has been featured in the famous American TV series “Expedition Impossible,” Dades Valley. The next stop is at an impressive rock formation called the “monkey fingers,” and we end our journey in your hotel, where you will have an overnight stay and yummy dinner.

DAY 4 :DADES VALLEY - ROSES VALLEY - SKOURA - OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - ATLAS MOUNTAINS - MARRAKECH.

The next day, embark on an explorative day full of enjoyment and knowledge. The journey begins after breakfast, moving to Kalaat M’gouna, passing by remarkable Berber villages along the spectacular Dades River. We may have a chance to observe women making rose products in a cooperative. We will drive through the Skoura palm tree groves and stop by perfect views to take photographs. When we arrive in Ouarzazate, we will learn about history and culture. We also admire the fascinating Moroccan architecture while we visit Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Studio.
In the afternoon, the road continues to one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. We walk through Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Since The Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Vikings were shot there, the Kasbah becomes a perfect location for movies and TV series. DAY 5 :DISCOVER MARRAKECH WITH A LOCAL GUIDE.

You will head to Saadien Tombs, Badii Palace, and the crucial historical monument Bahia Palace, which gives a huge welcome to the tourists around the world.
